How many coats you need depends on what you're covering:
- Uneven tone, freckles, light stretch marks: one coat of the spray.
- Scars and fine spider veins: two thin coats of the spray, or the spray plus a little Bombshell on the spot.
- Dark or varicose veins, bruises, melasma, tattoos: spray the whole leg, then two or three thin layers of Bombshell where you need more. For dark ink, a thin layer of orange or red corrector underneath helps. It's all in how to cover up tattoos with makeup.

How to apply leg makeup so it doesn't transfer
- Start with clean, dry skin. Shave or exfoliate the day before. Skip lotion under Bombshell, and if you use it under the spray, let it sink in completely first.
- Put it on. Shake the can and spray about 5 inches from your leg in a sweeping motion, going lightly around knees and ankles. With Bombshell, use a small amount and blend in long strokes.
- Blend. Use the Body Brush or a glove so the edges disappear into your skin.
- Let it dry for 5 to 10 minutes. This is what makes it waterproof.
- Do a quick test. Press a tissue lightly on one spot. If it comes away clean, you're ready to get dressed.
With Bombshell you can dust a little translucent powder on top for extra hold. For sun protection, mist a broad-spectrum makeup setting spray with SPF 30 or higher on top once it's dry, and reapply it at least every two hours and after swimming or sweating. In the shower, don't scrub, and pat your legs dry instead of rubbing with the towel. To take it off, use an oil-based makeup remover, micellar water or a body oil.
